INDEPENDENT North Yorkshire furniture and kitchen manufacturer Treske has strengthened its team with three key appointments.

Olivia Clark, Emily Bowes and Claire Pittham have all joined Thirsk-based Treske, as the company seeks to build on the growing demand for its products across the United Kingdom and abroad.

Olivia joins as projects and installations manager from James Brindley in Harrogate; Emily comes straight from Huddersfield University, where she studied design; and Claire, who has moved from Arlington Interiors in Leeds, after studying design at York College, joins Treske as a furniture designer.

Justin Bartlett, owner and managing director of Treske, said: "These are significant appointments for us. Olivia, Emily and Claire are all excellent additions to our staff and will strengthen our design, project and installation teams.

"Their appointments come hard on the heels of the construction of a new extension and the revamping of our showrooms, which cost £200,000 and were the biggest investment in the company since it was formed 40 years ago."

ESCRICK based marketing agency Space Creative has recruited chartered marketer Kate Crawford to its team.

The move takes Space Creative, which was founded in 2002 by Kate Eady, to a staff of 10.

Ms Crawford, who has worked with Aviva and Benenden Healthcare in the past before setting up Clear ComPosition in 2011, joins as marketing services director

Ms Eady said: "The acquisition of Clear ComPosition means we can now offer our clients a range of marketing services, including communications planning, brand positioning, campaign delivery, corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme design and copywriting in addition to our existing design, digital and print services."

Space Creative counts the NHS, Tunstall Healthcare and Malton Food Festival amongst its clients.

LUPTON Fawcett Denison Till, the York, Leeds, and Sheffield-based commercial law firm, has announced the appointment of Amanda Simmonds who joins the firm’s private client team.

Formerly a director with DWF and previously with Addleshaw Goddard, Ms Simmonds has 27 years’ experience within the private client arena and specialises in all aspects of Wills, trusts, probates, lasting powers of attorney and court of protection matters.

Richard Marshall, managing director, said: "Amanda brings invaluable experience and knowledge to our firm and her appointment marks an exciting development for further growing our firm in the private client sector."
