RECORD-breaking results have been reported by one of York's largest technology companies as Saville Audio Visual see turnover top £40 million.

Headquartered in Nether Poppleton, and with 300 staff based across 12 UK offices, Saville saw revenues rise by 12 per cent year on year.

As one of the region’s largest technology-based employers, Saville Audio Visual counts many of the UK’s biggest blue-chip businesses and public sector organisations as its customers, from the likes of BAE Systems and Lloyds Register to universities, Government departments and the NHS.

Group finance director Colin Nixey said: "Our major emphasis has been a planned strategy for growth alongside improvements in business efficiency.

"The most pleasing aspect is that both of the company’s key trading arms have played a major part in this success.

"With 14 per cent growth, the AV Systems division has improved its share of the growing, competitive audio visual and unified communications installation market in the UK.

"This has been strongly supported by a 10 per cent growth in turnover for our Conference & Live Events division, winning new business nationally and internationally."

The company has recently demonstrated its confidence in the conference industry with an investment of more than £600,000 in the latest event technologies, principally high resolution, large format LED videowall screens for indoor events.
