POTTER Logistics has taken delivery of two new 26-tonne lorries complete with personalised registrations as part of the firm's 50th anniversary celebrations.
Fully liveried in Potter’s yellow and 50th logos, the vehicles will primarily be used as part of the Potter Palletline fleet operating from Potter Logistics’ York distribution centre in Airfield Business Park.
As part of a continuing vehicle expansion and upgrade programme, the two Mercedes Benz Antos trucks, supplied by Northside Truck & Van in Hull, will replace two older Euro IV Mercedes Axors.
The registration numbers Y50PL and D50PL are a mark of Potter’s 50th celebrations and founder Derrick Potter who started the company in 1965.
Transport director Nick Brightey said: "Our trucks are the first encounter many customers and the general public have with Potter Logistics. This is why we continue to choose Mercedes Benz.
"Derrick started this business 50 years ago with a rigid yellow lorry and we have celebrated that with the two new trucks."
Potter Logistics, headquartered in Ripon, now operates from eight distribution centres, including York and Selby, and three rail freight terminals employing more than 300 staff.
