EAST Yorkshire based Great Newsome Brewery’s beer is finding favour with customers in Italy as members of the team visited international food and drink expo Tuttofood in Milan.
Matthew and Donna Hodgson, from the brewery, visited their Italian based importer and distributor, in addition to meeting customers in the Milan area selling beers from the brewery based just outside Hull.
Mr Hodgson said: “It was a great opportunity to meet not only our distributor but also the customers selling our beer in various bars and bottle shops.
“British beer is held with high regard by many of the people we met in Italy and it is great to see the likes of our Sleck Dust brand being enjoyed in bars over there.
“Craft beer and brewing is going through rapid growth in Italy with a large number of small artisan producers starting up, offering a huge range of beer styles.”
