INVESTMENT plans are being put in motion at a York children's nursery following growth of the business.

Bosses at Young Discoverers Children’s Day Nursery, based at Escrick Business Park have completed their first major capital investment with the purchase of a minibus.

The purchase of the nine seater bus, which is used for trips out with children, coincides with the sixth anniversary for the business, which was celebrated with a trip to Hollicarrs Woods for the pre-school children.

Nursery director Ruth Newton said: "Due to the growth of the nursery we’ve been able to make some investments in the business that really enhance the experience the children have with us.

"As well as the minibus, we’ve also been able to invest in new flooring for the Baby and Two’s Rooms which has enhanced the setting to be a really flexible space that truly meets the needs of each individual age group.

"It is of course the people that we employ that make the real difference however, and I’d really like to thank the team for making Young Discoverers a unique and enriching experience for everyone involved.”
