YORK based construction contractor Simpson is celebrating continued award success in recognition of its work on and off site.

Dunnington headquartered Simpson sent a team to represent the firm at the Considerate Constructors Scheme Site Awards, which recognises construction sites committed to raising the bar for considerate construction.

The Simpson team was awarded a Silver Award in recognition of their hard work and commitment during the course of the 52 week £8 million redevelopment at the York Art Gallery, specifically praised for adhering to the 5 point code, promoting construction positively throughout the course of the work.

Following on from the success at the Considerate Constructors Scheme Awards, Simpson staff attended the Committed to Construction in Humber & West Yorkshire Awards Ceremony in Leeds, and were successful in winning the Corporate Social Responsibility Award, which was presented to the organisation in recognition of their core business activities having continual involvement in supporting local groups, schools, charities and activities.

A spokesperson from Simpson said: "We are passionate about our workforce and are continually looking for progressive, quality individuals to recruit."
