LINLEY & Simpson has strengthened its specialist land, new homes and development department with a new appointment.

David Waddington brings more than 30 years’ experience of the property sector to his new role within the residential sales and letting agency, which has an eleven-branch network across North and West Yorkshire.

Based in the independent agency’s Ripon office, Mr Waddington will work alongside Greg Smallwood in jointly heading up a service that advises developers about maximising the potential for their plots and sites.
 

DIGTIAL PR and marketing agency Appeal has bolstered its Harrogate-based team with the appointment of experienced PR consultant Jane Burgess.

The appointment is part of Appeal’s expanding work in the energy, renewables and recycling sectors, where the firm has seen increasing demand for its services.

Ms Burgess’s experience in the energy sector includes managing community and media relations for anaerobic digestion, solar and biomass developers as well as for infrastructure projects.

She will work on Appeal’s existing client portfolio, including Wetherby-based wind turbine firm Earthmill, and help drive the agency’s growth in the renewables and energy sectors.
 

LUPTON Fawcett Denison Till, the Sheffield, Leeds and York-based commercial law firm, has appointed Rob Cooke as a director in its dispute management team.

Mr Cooke, a Sheffield City-based Property Litigator, joins from Taylor & Emmet where he was a partner.
