A YORK based estate agency group has opened two new branches as part of its drive to create a network of 500 offices in five years time.

Hunters, based in Eboracum Way, which is currently the sixth largest UK’s estate agency group, is opening two new branches in Heswall and Moreton.

Continuing the firm's expansion in the North West, the Heswall and Moreton branches will mark Hunters first endeavour into The Wirral.

Having opened its first branch 22 years ago in York, Hunters now has more than 130 branches now nationwide.

Andy Bushell, Sales director at Hunters Property Group, said: "Since 1992, we have grown rapidly, both organically and through acquisitions, to become the UK’s fastest-growing independent estate agency network.

"Seeing our continued expansion in the North West is very exciting and I’m proud that we have such a strong presence in the area.

"Over the next few years we will continue looking for new franchise opportunities as we widen our reach across the country."

Last year alone, the company opened in 37 new locations. Divisions include sales, lettings, auctions, survey and franchising.

Hunters has won more than 30 awards, has achieved Investor in People certification for more than a decade, has twice been voted Best UK Estate Agent and featured in the Sunday Times Best 100 company.

In 2013, Hunters received silver accolade in The Negotiator Awards for Large Estate Agency of the Year.

Last year Hunters headquarters in York moved to new premises with a state of the art property showroom and this year the company launched its first national TV commercial.
