AN EAST Yorkshire businessman is building on the success of his coastal farm shop and café by opening of a second site at a stately home in the Yorkshire Wolds.

Mark Farnsworth, founder of William’s Farm Kitchen and Café at Hornsea Outlet Village, has taken on the Terrace Café at Sledmere House as well as opening William’s Farm Kitchen in Sledmere.

Of the decision to open a second farm shop, Mr Farnsworth said: “I have been looking to replicate the William’s Farm Kitchen model at another site for a while.

“When Sledmere’s resident agent Stephen Greenfield told me about the exciting plans to develop the estate’s offering this year, I welcomed the opportunity to be a part of it.”

The new farm shop will stock Yorkshire-made products, home-made bakery products and a butchery offering from the in-house butchers at Hornsea.

The shop will employ 12 and will provide a shop for Sledmere, which hasn’t had one for over seven years.
