COLLEAGUES at a building society branch in York are celebrating award success.
York was named Branch of the Year at Skipton Building Society’s Star Awards 2015.
Representatives from the branch in Parliament Street received the accolade at the Society’s annual conference.
Mark Banyard, manager at York branch, said: “This is a great honour for everyone at our branch.
“We have worked hard to deliver an excellent service for our customers and this is a fantastic reward. This Star Award makes it all worthwhile.
“We have been serving the community in York for almost 30 years and we love supporting them and raising money whenever we can for local good causes.
“We will continue to do so in 2015 and beyond.”
The branch is a regular supporter for charitable causes. Last year, colleagues held a Macmillan Coffee Morning and a Staff Bake Off. Financial Planning manager Glen Dickson also took part in the Shine Night Marathon Walk in London to raise funds for breast cancer awareness.
