REPRESENTATIVES from medical equipment developer and manufacturer GBUK met with Rt Hon Earl Howe during his tour of the UK Pavilion at the opening day of Arab Health.
The team, based at the company's headquarters in North Duffield, are exhibiting a range of products at this year's Arab Health in Dubai, which is the largest healthcare exhibition and medical congress in the Middle East.
Earl Howe, who is the Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Quality, spoke to GBUK's group marketing director Marcus Ineson, about the support they had received from the UKTI, which has seen the company put in touch with specialists from different markets.
After Mr Ineson highlighted the desire for the company to build momentum, Earl Howe assured the team that GBUK was in the right place exhibiting at Arab Health.
Earl Howe said: "This is my third year out here and I sense that there is a real momentum here at Arab Health.
"There is a real desire by the Emirates to move ahead in a way that they haven't before. They look at trusted companies from overseas - trust and relationships matter in this market.
"Evidencing that you have a product or service that is in use in recognisable places will mean you're pushing at an open door."
