BUSINESS leaders across the region are being invited to enter the Institute of Directors' 2015 Director of the Year Awards.

With five awards up for grabs, the winners revealed at the Hilton Sheffield hotel in Victoria Quays in June, with the regional winners then due to forward to the national IoD Director of the Year awards.

Natalie Sykes, regional director of the IoD in Yorkshire and the Humber, said: "We are looking for applications from a diverse range of business people to demonstrate the true depth and breadth of Yorkshire business. "

The deadline for entries is 26 March 2015 and application forms can be downloaded fromwww.iod.com The awards categories are, Director of the Year (small to medium company), Director of the Year (large company), Young Director of the Year, Not for Profit/CSR Director of the Year and Lifetime Achievement .

The judging panel will determine the winner of the Overall Director of the Year for 2015.

At the 2014 awards, Gary Verity of Welcome to Yorkshire was named Director of the Year and given the Lifetime Achievement Award for his contribution to business and leadership.
