NATIONAL hotel chain Premier Inn has chosen Harrogate for the opening of its 688th hotel.
Olympic Gold medalist and team GB cyclist Philip Hindes MBE was on hand to cut the ribbon at the new 107-bedroom hotel in Springfield Avenue.
The venture has created 33 new jobs, and according to Premier Inn is set to contribute £6.7 million to the local economy.
The hotel works closely with Job Centre Plus and Harrogate College preparing young people for the workplace. The hotel plans to continue supporting youth employment in the area by working locally with schools to show the breadth of career opportunities in hospitality.
