COMPANIES in Selby are being given the chance to find out more about how green technology can support growth and investment.

Using a series of seminars, e-marketing and a new dedicated website, Selby District Council's 'Green Means Growth' initiative aims to highlight the opportunities that come from investing in green technology, as well as from Selby's prominent position at the heart of energy investment in the UK.

Council Leader, Cllr Mark Crane, said: "Selby is ideally placed to benefit from the growth in green industries.

"Green Means Growth is part of our overall strategy for supporting growth by giving businesses the chance to find out more about opportunities and investment ideas."

'Ten ways to make green pay' on 22 January is the second of three free business event specifically focusing on 'green' opportunities.
