A NORTH Yorkshire firm specialising in the manufacturing and distribution of medical devices has won an outstanding-achievement award.
Selby-based GBUK picked up the accolade at the Medilink Yorkshire & Humber Awards.
The event, held at Sheffield City Hall, was part of Medilink’s inaugural Winter Ball, launched to celebrate the achievements of the region’s leading healthcare and life sciences organisations. GBUK won the main award based on the company’s financial success, the growth of the company’s North Duffield base and ongoing product innovation.
GBUK Ltd will now be put forward for consideration at the national Medilink UK Awards, which take place at the MedTech Innovation Expo, Ricoh Arena, Coventry, on April 29.
Mark Thompson, managing director of GBUK Ltd, said: “To win this award is a tremendous achievement and caps off a fantastic year for the company. This is the second regional award we’ve won this year and we’re now looking forward to that success continuing over the next 12 months.”
