BUSINESSES in Harrogate are being invited to help shape the future of the town's economy.

Harrogate Borough Council is inviting local firms to attend business engagement events later this month to share ideas on how the council can supports the local economy in the future.

The ‘Let’s Talk Business’ event, will take place in the King’s Suite at the Harrogate International Centre on Monday, October 20, and Ripon Town Hall on Thursday, October 23, from 9.30am to 11.30am.

Hosted by council chief executive Wallace Sampson on October 20 and director of economy and culture Nigel Avison on October 23, the events will provide the opportunity for local companies, sole traders and organisations with an interest in the district’s economy to contribute their views on what the council’s priorities should be in the future.

Contributions will help shape the council’s Strong Local Economy Action Plan for 2015-2020.
