A NATIONAL parcel delivery company has taken on a new warehouse in Selby.

Yodel has acquired the 66,000 square foot warehouse and distribution facility and four-and-a-half acres of land for parking of commercial vehicles at Access 63 in the town, for an undisclosed sum.

The site was set up by Shepherd Developments and the Abtec Group, and is one of the largest single-owned industrial estates in North Yorkshire, spread over 100,000 square feet on a 12-acre site, just off the Selby Bypass.

Paul Mack, director of DTZ who brokered the deal on behalf of Shepherd Developments and Abtec Group, said: "We are delighted to have secured such a significant sale on the Access 63 estate. The Access 63 estate provides a rare development of newly constructed and high specification warehouse / industrial premises available on a leasehold or freehold basis. We now have only one building remaining on the estate of 15,000 sq ft."

Recent additions to the Access 63 site also include pipework suppliers and contractors Solid Eight, which bought a 15,000 square foot site in January.
