A YORK marketing agency has relocated to city centre premises in a bid to be closer to its growing client portfolio.

Intandem Communications, which for the last 12 years has operated out of offices in Sutton-upon-Derwent, has moved to High Petergate.

The move to the centre of York comes as the company's client list develops to include more city centre-based companies.

Rachel Goddard, founder and managing director of Intandem Communications, believes the relocation reflects the growing trend for professional service companies to choose a city location.

She said: “There is great creative energy in the city and we are working with more and more with clients, designers and technology companies who are based in York city centre.

"We are thrilled with our offices, we benefit from a faster internet connection and we can now more easily access both our creative networks and our clients.”

Intandem’s team of three works predominantly with small and medium sized organisations to develop PR and marketing strategies. Clients include cosmetic dentist Andrea Ubhi, York Science Park, Ashtons Estate Agents and the University of York, as well as other higher education providers in Yorkshire.

Katie Stewart, head of economic development at City of York Council, said: "It is great to see companies such as Intandem Communications moving into the heart of the city.

"York has lots of affordable and convenient space for professional service providers in the city centre, and as more professionals occupy these spaces, the greater the opportunity for collaboration between them all grows. I wish Intandem great success in High Petergate."
