YORK audio visual specialist Saville's has been nominated in two categories at the national AV Awards.

With more than forty years experience in AV systems design and installation, Saville Audio Visual has been recognised for its communication and presentation solutions for many of the UK's blue chip businesses, government departments and public sector projects.

Arcelor Mittal Orbit, at the Olympic Park in London, which was Saville's thirty-six speaker immersive audio experience solution, is nominated as a finalist in the Audio Installation of the Year category. The installation spirals down the 455-step outer staircase of the iconic Arcelor Mittal Orbit structure - now one of London's most popular tourist attractions.

Waters Wilmslow, part of the American-owned Waters Corporation, is the largest site globally committed to the research, support and development of mass spectrometry systems.

There Saville designed and configured more than two dozen integrated room systems, including a high tech boardroom with video conferencing and bespoke furniture, with the project now shortlisted for AV-IT Installation of The Year.

Colin Etchells, installation manager at Saville Audio Visual, which is based in Nether Poppleton, said: "These were two challenging projects that illustrate the breadth of technology we need to address and apply.

"We're very proud that the hard work and innovation of our technical team has been recognised."

The AV Awards winners will be announced at a gala ceremony in London's Grosvenor House Hotel at the end of September.
