A new look pub has created four new jobs following its six figure makeover.

The Toby Carvery, on Malton Road, York, re-opened its doors last week after a £257,000 revamp of its restaurant and bar to increase capacity and make room for 30 more seats.

Chris Mallison, manager of Toby Carvery Hopgrove, said: “The new restaurant looks fantastic and guests have already been complimenting the new look.

"The team is looking forward to welcoming more guests to the restaurant and will be doing all that we can to ensure that the quality and service exceeds their expectations."

The restaurant offers a family-sized feast of four roast carvery joints, freshly cooked everyday alongside eight lots of seasonal veg, including roasties and mash.

Customers can indulge themselves at the carvery for £5.99 from Monday to Saturday.

The carvery deck is open daily from 11.30am to 10.00pm.

For early birds out there the restaurant opens its doors at 8am for breakfast, when guests can enjoy an "all you can eat" offer.
