AS the summer holiday season approaches, national business organisation, the Forum of Private Business is reminding small business employers to make sure they are up to speed over employee rights to holiday entitlement.
It said all full-time employees had a statutory right to 28 days annual leave, with part-time workers entitled to the same level of holiday pro rata based on the number of hours they worked.
"However this is the legal minimum and you can choose to give more than the legal minimum," it said, adding that employees could not demand specific dates for their holiday.
