YORK’S Holiday Inn has been put up for sale as the brand looks to offload a portfolio of 21 hotels.

The 142-bedroom hotel in Tadcaster Road is among three in Yorkshire which are on the market with specialist property adviser Christie + Co.

Offers in excess of £70 million are being sought for the whole group, but agents say offers for small groups or individual hotels will be considered.

Jeremy Jones, director of Corporate Hotels at Christie + Co, said: “Strong interest has already been shown in all the hotels, which are being offered free of management and with an interim Holiday Inn franchise agreement until the end of this year, and as such we have set a first round offer deadline of June 11.”
