INSURANCE giant Hiscox is holding a recruitment day in York as part of its drive to bring 500 jobs to the city.
The firm, which is set to start work on building its new £19 million office in Hungate, has already taken on around 80 staff in York.
The next wave of roles it is recruit for will predominantly be for the firm's direct commercial business, and will include business insurance advisors as well as a range of other roles.
Hiscox is hosting a recruitment day on Wednesday 11, from 11am to 7pm at Guildhall in York, where the firm's recruitment team will be on hand to answer questions about the roles on offer in York and the selection process.
A spokesman for Hiscox said: "We are on the lookout for talented and driven individuals to join our FTSE 250 company that leads the pack when it comes to the world of specialist insurance.
"Our ambitious plans for York continue to develop and we are now creating a vibrant new team to join our Direct business."
