A YORK designer has launched her latest collaboration with her artwork after teaming up with a national floral and craft supplier.
Julie Dodsworth, famed for her vintage and folky floral designs, has embarked on a design partnership with Country Baskets.
The deal is the latest of 23 collaboration projects for Mrs Dodsworth who's designs have recently ventured into the world of fashion after working with Barbour.
With five of her new designs featuring in around 70 pieces in the spring collection, Mrs Dodsworth has also been signed up by the country clothing brand for its autumn winter collection.
The partnership with Country Baskets has seen Mrs Dodsworth create a new exclusive collection of designs which will feature on a range of 40 products including silk flowers, ribbon, cellophane and decorative aggregates.
Mrs Dodsworth, who alongside her design businesses runs a plan display venture with her husband in Cundall, near Thirsk, said: “My partnership with Country Baskets has been inspirational for me, as my designs fit effortlessly with their floral products and accessories.
"I’m thrilled to be embracing my Yorkshire roots and working in partnership with such a successful Leeds-based brand like Country Baskets.
"I’m really looking forward to showcasing the range and hearing feedback from their loyal customers."
The Country Baskets collection was launched nationwide in the firm's eight branches this month, featuring designs such as Swiss Cottage, Fairy-tale and Midsummer Ball.
Venessa Hodgson Country Baskets’ marketing manager added: "We are incredibly excited for the in-store arrival of Julie’s beautiful, bespoke designs.
"Julie has been the perfect partner for Country Baskets, as we were looking to introduce a beautiful selection of vintage ribbons and flowers that are completely unique to our customers.
" We’re also eagerly awaiting Julie’s second collection, set to launch later in the year, which will include home décor products such as vintage-inspired rocking horses, bird houses and handmade hanging hearts - all incorporating Julie’s designs.”
After only officially launching her design business two years ago, Mrs Dodsworth, who is trained as a florist, has also worked with candle firm Wax Lyrical, Churchill china and Darlington Crystal, with her products now stocked in a range of stores including Harrods, Selfridges, John Lewis, Lakeland and Fenwicks.
