THE maintenance and refurbishment specialist which complete work at York Racecourse has won a string of new contracts valued at more than £450,000.

Novus Property Solutions, which has an office in Kettlestring Lane, Clifton Moor, is completing exterior redecoration and repair work on 500 properties owned by social housing provider Yorkshire Housing, as part of a one year rolling contract.

Novus is repainting properties and completing repairs to wood work, fencing, windows, fascias and gutters across the Yorkshire area for the social landlord.

The work started in March and is due to end by September, with the firm receiving a score of 97 per cent customer satisfaction since work began..

Meanwhile, the contractor has completed the external redecoration of the Knavesmire Stand at York Racecourse, applying fire retardant paint to upgrade the stand to meet regulations.

Novus, which has an ongoing partnership with the racecourse, spent six weeks redecorating the award-winning stand, working around the venue’s schedule to ensure race meetings and other events were not disrupted.

For Hanover Housing Group, Novus has completed the internal redecoration of communal areas at the 25-bed Rossefield Manor in Leeds.

Novus applied designer wall coverings to areas such as the foyer and staircases, working in partnership with the scheme provider to select and apply the most suitable coverings in order to improve the aesthetics of the building’s interior.
