FELIXKIRK'S Carpenters Arms has been highly commended as a Good Shoot Hotel in the GunsOnPegs Awards 2014.

GunsOnPegs is the UK’s largest online shooting community in the UK and the awards are voted for by its 62,000 members, as well as readers of Fieldsports magazine.

Deborah Whitwell, general manager at The Carpenters Arms, near Thirsk said: “We’re delighted to have received this national recognition for our five star bedroom facilities for shooting parties, complete with gun safes and drying wardrobes.

"This accolade was achieved in the face of stiff competition and we’ll be giving our certificate pride of place in the bar as soon as possible.”

The Carpenters Arms was voted as Yorkshire’s Favourite Pub at The Great Yorkshire Show by Welcome to Yorkshire.
