A SEASIDE hotel has gone up for sale with an asking price topping half a million pounds.

Scarborough's Redcliffe Hotel, located in Prince of Wales Terrace, in the South Cliff area of the town, has been brought to the market by specialist hotel agents, Colliers International.

The freehold for the 11-bedroom hotel is being offered with a price tag of £525,000.

Peter Bean, director of Hotels at Colliers International said: “The Redcliffe is a stylish hotel with 11 letting bedrooms, lovely public areas, a passenger lift to all floors and really good owners’ accommodation in the form of two separate flats.

“The hotel is on level ground close to the Cliff lift, Esplanade, Spa Complex and foreshore and provides the owners with a marvellous home and an easily run bed and breakfast business."

The current owners, Ann and Brian Bean, acquired The Redcliffe in 2005 having run hotel and catering businesses in Lincolnshire and Norfolk.

The sale of The Redcliffe has come about as Mr and Mrs Bean look to retire.
