A CAR and van dealership business is expanding in York with new jobs and new premises.

JCT600, which has its head office in Bradford, has relocated the service team at its Volkswagen Van Centre York to a nearby stand-alone site.

The move has enabled the business to expand its facilities for customers and create three new jobs.

Located at Centurion Park, in Clifton Moor, the new site, which is across the road from the company's showroom, features five service bays. The extra facilities more than doubles the centre’s capacity.

Speaking about the move, Mark Flintoff, after sales manager at Volkswagen Van Centre York, said: "The expanded facilities have reduced waiting times for customers and further improved service.

“By moving servicing to a separate, larger site, we have been able to introduce operating efficiencies and a more focused approach to this specialist activity.”

As well as moving to a new home, the York after sales team is also celebrating coming top in the JCT600 After Sales League.

The business's internal competition recognises outstanding customer care and performance at the motor retailer’s commercial vehicle centres.

JCT600 is a family business with 47 dealerships throughout Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire and the North East.

It has grown by selling a total of 19 brands such as Aston Martin, Audi, Bentley, BMW/MINI, Ferrari, Maserati, Mercedes-Benz, Peugeot, Porsche, Vauxhall and Volkswagen. The group employs a workforce of 1,800 people.

As well as a Volkswagen dealership the business also has an Audi dealership in York.
