YORK digital agency Plump has celebrated its fifth birthday by welcoming its fifth member to join the team.

Plump has appointed Jon Hurrell as a front-end web developer for the Swinegate-based agency.

Mr Hurrell has joined Plump from the University of Leeds where he worked on large scale websites and application builds.

He said: “I originally met members of the Plump team at a conference and it was clear that they were an agency with big ideas and creative digital solutions which would benefit the education sector particularly as well as other industries.

"I was keen to bring my experiences of driving those same values at a huge institution level in a different context, but where it would hopefully have a large impact.”

Rob Colley, client services director at Plump said: “As we celebrated our fifth year of trading we were continuing to secure substantial projects and it was clear we needed to expand our team.

"We were delighted to welcome Jon to Plump and he has already made a significant contribution to the successful delivery of our projects."
