Dryfix Preservation worker crowned Employee of the Year

A WORKER at building preservation specialist from Acomb has been awarded the first ever Employee of the Year award from a national industry organisation.
Fraser Rafton, a remedial technician and joiner at Dryfix Preservation, is the first recipient of the title at the awardswon the award, organised by the Property Care Association (PCA).
He was nominated for the accolade by his brother, Russell, who described him as “the company superstar”.
Chief executive of the PCA Steve Hodgson said: “Fraser’s dedication to a job well done and his commitment to furthering his knowledge exemplify the high level of skills and knowledge we support throughout the industry.”
Mr Rafton, who was presented with a framed certificate, an Apple iPad and a bottle of champagne, has worked at Dryfix Preservation, which provides professional reports and repair solutions, for five years. for damp, woodworm, infestations, wet rot, dry rot, condensation and building defects, for five years.
He said: “I’m absolutely honoured to have been selected as Employee of the Year at the PCA Awards.”
“Over the past couple of years I’ve been back to college to train as a joiner as we needed someone within the firm who could take on that kind of work.”
