YORK’S new community interest company, Be Independent Community Equipment and Response Service, is looking for customers and their relatives to join its advisory board.

The board will meet four times a year and will help shape the services the company offers.

Phil Pallister, staff director of Be Independent, said: “This is a great opportunity for customers or their relatives to get involved in the development and growth of the company. No prior experience is necessary, we just want people who know what our customers need and how we can improve our service.”

Profits made by the service are reinvested back into the service.
