A POST office in a York suburb has been modernised and now opens for longer.

Dringhouses Post Office in Tadcaster Road was officially opened by York Outer MP Julian Sturdy, who cut a ribbon and welcomed the revamp. The new-look post office, featuring open plan combi counters, is open from 6am to 8pm Monday to Saturday, and from 6am to 12.30 on Sundays.

Good news stories are always in short supply. So isn't there a bigger story here? More than just a pair of big scissors and a happy politician.
Who is the un-captioned happy guy in the picture? Isn't he the more interesting bit of the tale?
