YORK creative agency The Beautiful Meme has been shortlisted for a European award for the third consecutive year.

The Walmgate-based business is in the running for a total of three awards in this year’s Transform Awards.

The awards honour outstanding rebranding work and draw a huge number of entries from major design agencies across Europe.

In 2012 The Beautiful Meme was awarded a Gold in the Copywriting category for their work with student accommodation providers The Student Housing Company, and last year they won a Bronze in the Financial Services category for their work with UK-wide financial planning business Bellpenny.

This year the business has been nominated for three awards in copywriting and art direction for its rebrand of the English National Ballet. Following the creation of a new brand, the agency partnered with Vivienne Westwood on a tube advertising campaign that received attention across the world and garnered broadsheet reviews.

The Beautiful Meme will be competing against such brands as Lloyds Bank, Eurostar and Conran Design Group.

Creative director Tom Sharp said: “The standard of the international entries the Transform Awards receive is immense, so to be shortlisted for three years in a row is testament to the vision, energy and creativity of my team.”
