Growth of Swedish bank in York

SWEDISH banking group Handeslbanken is growing in York as it reports its full year results for 2013.
During last year it saw a 17 per cent rise in lending to British customers, with business lending increasing by 13 per cent to £8.68 billion. Run by a team of five local bankers, the York branch is one of 171 British branches.
Chris Ibbotson, manager of the York branch, said: “During 2013 we continued to significantly grow our business in and around York by making local decisions here in the branch and simply providing the best level of service to our business and individual customers.”
