HOLIDAY Inn York has started 2014 by achieving top marks from event bookers and customers for its work in 2013.

The VenueVerdict Gold Standard Accreditation was given to only 31 places in the UK, and is based on feedback from more than 22,000 event hosts, bookers and customers across more than 350 venues.

Douglas Winfield, general manager of Holiday Inn York, said: “We’re dedicated to making our delegates’ meetings and events enjoyable and help them get the most out of their conference. It’s fantastic that we’ve been recognised in this way and it’s testament to the hard work of our staff. We work tremendously hard to support our event organisers and it’s great to see this work being recognised.”

Holiday Inn York registered a score of +70 or higher, putting them significantly above the national average of +52.1.
