A SELBY chippy has been recognised by the 2014 National Fish & Chip Awards for its fundraising efforts during the Seafarers UK Fish & Chip Feast week.
Mister C’s has been shortlisted for the award after staff member Amy Grimwood took part in a sponsored batter bath for the cause.
The Seafarers UK Fish & Chip Feast, which took place over a week in October, raises funds to support fishermen in need around the UK.
The individual shop that raised the most funds will be crowned with the Seafarers UK Fish & Chip Feast - Top Fundraising Shop of the Year Award at the 2014 National Fish & Chip Awards ceremony due to be held at the Lancaster London hotel on Wednesday.
Mister C’s is up against Harbour Lights in Falmouth, Cornwall and Burton Road Chippy in Lincoln.
