THE next step is being staged in the proposed merger of the Leeds, York & North Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce with its Bradford counterpart.

Members are being invited to a Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) on February 10 where they will be given the chance to vote on whether or not the proposed West and North Yorkshire Chamber should be created.

The boards of both chambers believe it would be better for business if the two chambers merge, stating “we believe that together we would be better placed to represent the interests of businesses and allow us to offer more support to members.”

The EGM is being held from 9.30am at Elizabeth House, Queen Street, in Leeds.
