Painting and Decorating Association celebrate 150th anniversary of founding branch in Bradford

York Press: . .

STALWART members of a national trade organisation have joined to celebrate the 150th anniversary of its founding branch.

The Painting and Decorating Association (PDA) can trace its origins back to a meeting in Bradford in 1863 and marked the special anniversary with a celebration lunch in Harrogate.

The North Eastern region of the PDA is the longest-running branch of the organisation and 16 past presidents, who formerly represented the area, joined with current regional presidents from across Britain to celebrate the anniversary at The Majestic Hotel.
