A RYEDALE courier firm has marked its busiest ever day after processing more than 3,000 deliveries in 24 hours.
Unprecedented demand in the festive season saw YDL Distribution & Logistics receive more than 1,500 parcels for delivery on December 17, compared to 1,100 on the equivalent day last year.
The business, based at Barton Hill near Whitwell, also took on six temporary employees to cope with record parcel numbers this month.
