York business park gets an A rating
9:57am Monday 18th March 2013 in Business news
A YORK business park has been awarded a top rating by City of York Council in a draft assessment of the total office stock within the authority’s area.
Clifton Business Park has won a Grade A rating. Andrew McBeath, the managing director of York-based McBeath Property Consultancy, said the rating was “richly deserved” and underlined the park’s quality.
Council leader James Alexander said the review of office stock was the most comprehensive ever undertaken in York and would assist the council in marketing the city and ensure it had quality office accommodation available for existing businesses and all prospective businesses thinking of relocating to York.
He said: “Clifton Park Business Park has been given a grade A rating, which reflects its quality and its position as an important part of the York offer.”
The Human Support Group recently took 1,238 sq ft of high-quality, modern office space on the ground floor of Block A at Clifton Park on a five-year lease.
Rachel Caulfield, head of Human Resources, said it had won the contract to run the council’s re-ablement and domiciliary care service.
“As we were new to the area, it was important we sourced an office central to the city with great transport links. Clifton Park is a modern, leafy site which is easily accessible by the outer ring road and offers superb facilities.”
