Hunters conference puts focus on property market

ABOUT 180 delegates from across the country attended Hunters estate agency’s inaugural annual conference at the Royal York Hotel.

The York-based business now has 104 branches across the country, operating on a franchise basis, said managing director Kevin Hollinrake.

He said about 30 branches were based in the London area, and business partners and their staff had travelled to York from as far away as Hastings for the one-day event, with many of them staying overnight at the Royal York.

Mr Hollinrake said the property market in York and nationwide was now stable and improving slightly, with people enjoying better access to mortgages, and he anticipated an upward curve in house prices through 2013.
