A North Yorkshire micro-brewery has launched a beer in a new keg format to enable it to supply venues with no cellars.

Wold Top Brewery, based in Hunmanby, has launched its first brewery-conditioned beer Humber Light, which is inspired by Hull’s maritime heritage, specifically for Hull Truck Theatre which has no cellar, but still wants to serve beer on draught.

Tom Mellor, brewery owner, said; “Keg beer tastes good and lasts much longer than cask beer so is ideal for bars where casks aren’t finished quickly. Many breweries are now starting to keg beer and we’re really pleased with the quality of Humber Light in this format.”
