THE importance of employee volunteers in helping York reach its environmental targets will be on the agenda of the forthcoming annual meeting of York Cares.
The organisation, which is made up representatives from the city's biggest employers, encourages workers to get involved in volunteer work.
Holly Hennell, operations manager at York Cares said the meeting will demonstrate how employee volunteers have already contributed to sustainability in the city through programmes such as Team Challenges, York Children’s University, Starting Blocks and the Enterprise Hub.
