Ripon Racecourse to create new jobs

RIPON Racecourse is to create up to 60 full and part-time jobs after deciding to create an in-house betting operation.
In partnership with racecourse technology provider Data Tote, RiponBet will offer racegoers a range of popular fixed odds bet types at more than 50 betting windows across the racecourse.
The new positions will be customer service operators and supervisor positions, selling bets to racegoers around the racecourse and within hospitality and restaurant areas using hand-held terminals and personal tablets.
James Hutchinson, chief executive at Ripon Racecourse, which is using ARC Hospitality Recruitment Solutions Ltd to manage the recruitment, said: “It is very pleasing to be creating new employment in the area.”
