York ice-cream manufacturer Yorvale has been inundated with ideas for a new flavour inspired by all that is Yorkshire.
Yorvale’s Joanne Blackburn said: “The original plan was that three ice-cream flavours would be shortlisted and put to a public vote to determine the winner, but we had such a difficult job compiling the shortlist that we selected four in the end!
Unusual suggestions included Yorkshire pudding, Yorkshire blue cheese and Yorkshire curd tart, but the final shortlist is Yorkshire lavender and honey, chocolate orange, cinder toffee and apple, rhubarb and ginger.”
