New staff join Twisted team

THE first of five new jobs created at Thirsk-based Land Rover Defender transformation company Twisted has been filled.

Jenny Knowlson, 26, has been appointed sales administrator, bringing the headcount at Twisted to 14 people.

Jenny has joined from a home improvements business, where she held a similar role.

Twisted, which builds high-specification and luxury Land Rover Defenders with an average retail price of nearly £70,000, is recruiting as the business expands to meet demand.

Charles Fawcett, the managing director of Twisted, said: “We’ll create a range of technical, customer care and administrative roles in 2013 as we continue cautious and considered growth. We produced more than twice as many cars in 2012 as 2011 and Jenny will be a key element in our development plans.”
