VIDEO games designer Charles Cecil will deliver the keynote speech at Venturefest Yorkshire next month.

Mr Cecil, co-founder of Revolution Games, will host a discussion on the technical and social developments in the games industry at the event on February 28, including emerging opportunities for the sector, such as crowd funding.

Bestselling author Richard McCann, whose personal life story has helped thousands of people in the business community, will also speak at the event, held at York Racecourse.

Venturefest Yorkshire chairman Tony Hardy, said: “This year’s programme is all about sharing the real life experiences of some incredibly inspiring and successful entrepreneurs.

“Delegates will be able to pick up techniques for getting their websites noticed, learn 20 ways to make more money online, find out how to deliver a successful pitch, discover how to exploit social media in their businesses and how best to negotiate an equity deal.”

Services worth more than £50,000 will also be up for grabs in the annual Investment Competition and Innovation Showcase.
