A GROUP of Indian restaurants from the York area has beaten off competition from eateries across Yorkshire to win a top award.
Jaipur Spice won the Best In Yorkshire award at the Bangladeshi Catering Association (BCA) Awards, held the Park Plaza Hotel in London.
In addition, the group’s Mohammed Khalique Zaman won the BCA Caterer Of The Year award for the Yorkshire and Humber region.
The awards, which were presented in front of an audience of 1,000 guests, including MPs and the Bangladeshi High Commissioner, aimed to celebrate the success and strength of the UK’s best curry houses.
Jaipur Spice is a family-run group of Indian restaurants which has been creating authentic Indian cuisine for residents and visitors to the York area for more than 25 years.
