YORK people could feature in an exhibition in Finland after a local casting business was commissioned to provide models.
Osiris Sculpture, based in Full Sutton, creates full-cast waxworks figures and has won the project at Turku Castle, which dates back to the 13th century.
Chris Wormald, a sculptor, who has previously made models for Pembroke Castle and has worked in Dubai, Belgium, Germany and Holland, said he needs to make 16 casts of men, women and children of all different shapes and sizes for a new exhibition at the castle.
The exhibition will open in May 2013 and feature all kinds of figures, including a stable boy, people fighting and generally representing castle life.
He said: “I need to start casting straight away and need people interested in being body casts.”
He said his models wear a body stocking to take a whole cast of their body, face and hands.
