A POCKLINGTON manufacturer is targeting growth after agreeing financial support with Lloyds TSB Commercial Finance.
Power Health Products, which has celebrated its 40th year of manufacturing health supplements in 2012, exports its products, which include vitamins, mineral supplements, sports nutrition and natural hair and skincare products, to a number of territories, including the Middle East and southern Europe as well as health food shops and pharmacies across the UK.
The company, which employs 50 people, intends to grow in 2013 both domestically and in overseas markets.
Jenny Baillie, marketing manager for Power Health Products, said: “While many health supplement producers have moved their manufacturing operations abroad to places like India and China, we are proud to have kept our facilities in Yorkshire.
“Being close to our target markets gives us speed and flexibility, which has been a big factor in helping us to flourish during the tough trading conditions of recent years.
“We have also mitigated against a difficult economy by diversifying our product range and targeting a wide customer base.”
